I'm listed!
Well it's official, I'm listed for a double lung transplant at University of Pennsylvania. Since I'm a rare blood type (AB+) I'm top of the list there.
My information was sent to Columbia Presbyterian today, so I will call to follow up tomorrow.
Ha! Yes Will, a political opperative friend of mine called last night at near 10:00. Denise got quite excited at the phone ring, I really thought nothing of it. I had to promise to tell people not to call late at night anymore. I guess its not real to me yet, at least I feel no different.
congratulations!
ReplyDeletecongratulations!! Now all you have left is the waiting game :) I am excited for you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jim! Very excited for the good news :)
ReplyDeleteYes, The good and bad of my blood type...I know I'm the only one listed of my size at Penn, but won't be that many opportunities since I'm AB+
ReplyDeleteThe leg work is done (or should I say the "lung work"), now the wait begins. Hopefully we will get a call soon and it with be the REAL ONE!

Congratulations! And well done for getting through what sounds like a particularly gruelling assessment and other tests...
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that blood type gives you a short wait and that we can soon welcome you to the world of post-transplant!
Oh yes, and here goes for the adrenaline spike and the racing pulse EVERY time the phone rings!
