Cystic Fibrosis: Through the Voice of a Spouse

One of my friends asked me to be a featured family on her website. Nikki's husband passed away from CF in December 2011.

Brief status of what's been going on lately...
-Jim got his gallbladder our in the hopes that his stomach pain would go away..
.didn't work.
-Today is Jim's 27 months post-tx anniversary.
-In April we did the DASH for Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness in Philly. Walked a 5k with friends. We had Jim carry our stuff since he can...
"Please do not touch the fan". Of course he had to...
Phillies game with folks from the CF Foundation and Finest Under Forty Hornorees:

-We had to say good-bye to our yellow labrador, Dharma, of 12 years. She had cancer...

-We are gearing up for our fundraiser on October 28th. Which reminds me, we would like to have some folks that are either family members or people with CF come out an enjoy the day. In order for people to really understand why we are having our event we want to put faces to the names of CF. It's about awareness. How can we have people fully aware of how CF effects others if we don't have several faces to represent?!

-We got a lab puppy named Doolie (9 weeks old today). Notice CF t-shirt...

That's it in a nutshell for now. Basically we've been living a much better life and consider each day a blessing.

Please consider being an organ donor.

As usual, thank you to Jim's donor and his family.

  1. Sorry for the lack of blogging, but facebook has taken over the daily report and list of activities we have been doing. If anyone wants, please friend me to keep better track of my comings and goings in this crazy life.

    Thank you,
