Countdown to the OBX!

Right now we're sitting at home waiting to see what hurricane Irene plans on doing. Hopefully our house in North Carolina Outer Banks will be there when we arrive next week! Here are some photos from the last time we were there in 2009.

This will be our first year in the OBX since Jim received his new windbags. I'm so excited for:
  • No lugging of O2
  • No sounds of treatments being done
  • Not waiting for Jim to do treatments (normal ~6 hours out of the day)
  • Jim not getting tired (he will probably tire me out this year)
  • Walks on the beach (sounds cliche but Jim wasn't able to do a heck of a lot of walking)
  • Climbing sand dunes
  • Climbing the lighthouse
For those of you that do not know, Jim's donor was in North Carolina when we received the call for transplant. We've always loved NC but we now have an even greater love for it. I know being in NC this year will be even more special than ever before! Thank you to Jim's donor and his family for the selfless gift you gave! xoxo
